ABOUT
Matilda Gracia is a Spanish-Irish singer-songwriter and producer creating alternative pop shaped by soul, rock and subtle flamenco influences. Writing mainly in English, and also in Spanish, her music reflects both sides of her heritage. There’s a rhythmic quality to her acoustic guitar playing, an emotional directness in her lyrics and a soulful edge to her voice that gives her sound a warmth and intensity all at once.
Inspired by 2000s artists like KT Tunstall and Nelly Furtado, as well as Spanish artist Rosalía and Irish soul-folk voice Hozier, Matilda blends percussive guitars, bold melodies and honest storytelling into something that feels both modern and rooted. Her songs explore identity, resilience, mental health and female empowerment, always led by the intention to connect and make people feel understood.
Her recent singles Little Pieces, Blood in the Water and Health Hazard received support from BBC Introducing, helping introduce her to a wider UK audience. On the 13th of March, she is set to release her new single My Power, a confident and uplifting track about reclaiming your strength. The song will also be the title track of her upcoming EP, due for release this summer, with a headline show to be announced soon.
Deeply committed to her craft, Matilda writes and produces her own music and is constantly learning and refining her skills. She holds an MA with Honours in Songwriting and was selected as a winner of the PCAM x Balance the Mix Mentorship Scheme, experiences that reflect her dedication to developing both as a songwriter and as a producer. As a woman working in production, she is passionate about continuing to grow while helping shift representation in the studio space.
Her Spanish-language release Sin Ti marked a meaningful moment in her journey, weaving indie folk-pop with classical guitar textures and gentle flamenco touches, bringing her two cultures together in one sound.
With over 10 years of live performance experience, Matilda has built a strong and versatile presence on stage. Performing as a one-woman band with guitar, vocal harmoniser and stomp box, she reimagines covers and delivers powerful original sets with equal ease. She has performed at Earth Fest, St George’s Day Festival in Trafalgar Square and Home Farm Fest, as well as at Notting Hill Arts Club and as a guest performer at the Electric Ballroom.
Whether busking on the streets of London or playing festival stages, Matilda approaches music with honesty, curiosity and heart. She is an artist who cares deeply about growth, connection and creating songs that mean something.
